Three formats, each with a different focus. Open to any FQS member, solo or in teams.
HACKATHON
Build something with market data. Past prompts have included stock screeners, backtesting engines, and macro dashboards. We look at how good the analysis is and whether the output makes sense.
STRATEGY TOURNAMENT
Design and backtest a trading strategy. We look at risk-adjusted returns and drawdown, not just raw P&L. You write up how it works and why you made the decisions you did.
STOCK PITCH
Pick a company and make a case for buying or shorting it. Cover the business, the financials, a valuation, and the risks. We judge on how well you actually know the company.
