What we are
FQS is a club for high schoolers who want to actually understand finance. Free to join, run by students, no background required.
The curriculum starts with how an exchange works and goes up to backtesting algorithmic trading strategies. Ten units, two hundred lessons. Each one ends in a short quiz.
The research desk has live quotes, company fundamentals, and economic data from the Fed's FRED database. We also run competitions throughout the year, hackathons and strategy tournaments and stock pitches.
Why we built it
Most finance content online is too basic or all over the place. Videos with no order, textbooks that don't go anywhere useful. None of it lets you try things on actual data.
We wanted a place where you could start from zero and actually learn how this works, not just read about it. So we built it.
